OK, we are excited about this one! Saturday, April 25, 2026, is the Block Party of Honoluluʻs annual Waikiki SPAM JAM, and we are singing there! The stage is small, so we are deploying a smaller contingent for this one — what barbershoppers dub a “VLQ,” for “Very Large Quartet.”
SPAM, of course, is wildly popular in Hawaiʻi, which our continental counterparts may not fathom, but locals and perhaps our fellow Pacific barbershoppers west of us may better appreciate. SPAM JAM features gourmet culinary innovations with the mystery meat, plenty of merch, and live entertainment! Weʻve even learned a SPAM tag for the occasion! Proceeds from the event benefit the Hawai‘i Foodbank, the Waikīkī Community Center, and the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawai‘i.
The SOA VLQ will be featured at 5:50 p.m. on the Southwest Airlines Stage fronting the Royal Hawaiian Center. If youʻre around, come on by!
