Following our week off to recuperate from our successful outing at the 2025 Convention & Competition of the Far Western District of the Barbershop Harmony Society, the Sounds of Aloha will meet on Thursday evening this week, from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., at the Kuapa Isle Clubhouse in East Honolulu. Besides rehearsing, weʻll also take the opportunity to debrief, celebrate, and reflect upon our adventures in Fresno, where we won our chorus plateau championship, placed 9th overall, and most importantly had a wonderful time with our enormously welcoming and talented barbershop brothers and sisters from California, Arizona, and Nevada. We also took the occasion in person, in song, and with our traditional post-competition mai tai party to encourage everyone to come to Honolulu for nextʻs yearʻs Far Western Convention, which will be held in conjunction with the 2026 Pan Pacific Barbershop Convention!
Guests are welcome at our rehearsals, and we are about to embark upon preparations for our exciting Christmas season, including our Guest Singer Program that will kick off next week, Thursday, October 30, also at Kuapa Isle Clubhouse, 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.! Guest singers can learn two of three songs with us, joining us for partial rehearsals in November, and perform those songs with us in one or more of our Christmas performances. At the entrance to Kuapa Isle, you will need to tell the guard that you are attending the Sounds of Aloha rehearsal at the clubhouse.
We hope to see you!
