A Cappella Academy

The Sounds of Aloha Chorus periodically organizes A Cappella Academies for high school singers, most recently in 2015, 2019, 2020, and2022. The first A Cappella Academies were for young men, but now we are excited to collaborate with our sister choruses,  Honolulu Blend and Na Leo Lani and offer it to young women as well.

Participating A Cappella Academy students receive sheet music and audio learning tracks to selected a cappella songs, and after rehearsing over a weekend give a live public performance that also features any guest clinician quartets or individuals. The program usually is offered for a nominal fee, with one or more meals, and T-shirts, included.

Mahalo nui loa to the Atherton Family Foundation for its generous support of the A Cappella Academy.
